Toys at the library are divided into developmental categories:
NEW Special Occasion – a range of children’s birthday cake tins and classic Women’s Weekly children’s birthday cake recipe books to make birthday parties more affordable & fun
Activity - Encourage movement exploration & activity (riding, push/pull toys, sports equipment)
Baby - Toys of major appeal to babies 0-12m (Rattles, activity centres, cradle gyms, pram toys)
Co-ordination Construction - Develop dexterity and manual skills (Hammer pegs, construction blocks, screwing & threading toys)
Discovery Discrimination - Toys to help in sorting, matching and grading (shape sorters, posting boxes, microscopes)
Expression - Encourage creative, fantasy, role & interactive play (animal & train sets, dolls prams, cars, trucks, dressups)
Games - Low activity board games particularly designed for 2-6 year olds
Music - Toys used to make music, musical instruments & cassette tapes
Puzzles - A wide range of puzzles from simple inset through to multipiece jigsaws.
